Beth is relentless when it comes to finding the right solution for her agents. Having built an impressive book of business—and not resting on her laurels—she sets the bar high for all brokers she leads and mentors to help them to achieve their goals. Having spent nearly half of her nearly 30-year career as an underwriter and as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, she applies her technical knowledge and understanding of risks to achieve results. 

Beth welcomes the challenge of complex risks, detailed analytics, or unique circumstances. She will do what is necessary to assist and support her agents in making informed and sound decisions, which has earned her regular top sales accolades. Beth also supports her colleagues by developing new policies and procedures for the team and oversees the Maine team and office operations.

Previously, Beth was VP, Branch Manager for Regional Excess Underwriters, a Berkley Company. Before that, she was a Production Underwriter for CNA Insurance and a Home Office Underwriting team member for Acadia Insurance. She is a Bates College graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. 

Binh began his career in the insurance industry in 2015, supporting the Professional Liability brokerage team, led by Victoria Dearing, with a focus on Professional Lines. In this time, the team has grown from only two to five members, and he continues to focus on avenues for success.

Binh also provides support to Victoria Dearing for the Cryotherapy and Sports Rehabilitation Programs, including underwriting risks and finding new business opportunities. He is a PLUS member and is working on his RPLU designation.

Cindy Veselka has more than 16 years of insurance experience and is a proven property, habitational, hospitality and LRO underwriter. She has been on both the retail and wholesale side of the business, most recently having worked at another managing general agency. She has earned her Associate in General insurance (INS) and holds an associate degree cum laude from the Georgia Military College and a bachelor’s in business administration from the George College & State University.

Cricket is a known underwriting expert in the commercial contractor’s package and workers’ compensation space having developed, and now leading, these programs for Breckenridge Insurance. With nearly 30 years of insurance industry experience, she and her team offer agents and brokers valuable insights and unparalleled service on these competitive insurance programs. For her efforts, Cricket was recognized as a 2018 Insurance Business America Elite Woman and has earned several sales achievement awards for her accomplishments.

Previously, Cricket was Program Manager for Summit Insurance Services for a decade and before that, she was an Underwriting Assistant for ICW Group. Over the years, she has attended many construction-related insurance seminars, completed the CGU Producer Development Program, authored articles and held educational webinars on considerations in construction risk management.

Emily consistently delivers competitive solutions to meet the diverse needs of retail insurance agents, while simultaneously building quality relationships with carrier partners. With more than 15 years in property and casualty insurance, she continues to grow her book of business by way of loyal and new agent relationships. Emily earned a promotion to Vice President/Broker in early 2020 and oversees a growing support team out of the Dallas office.

Prior to joining Breckenridge in 2015, Emily was a Senior Account Executive at Regional Excess Underwriters and additionally held assistant underwriting and account specialist roles at Southern Cross Underwriters and St. Paul/Travelers.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Ian has nearly 20 years of underwriting expertise and uses it to creatively attack each client’s problem as if his own. Agents welcome his experienced perspective and relationships with diverse carriers affording greater underwriting authority in terms, conditions and premium thresholds. Ian handles a variety of property and casualty contact binding needs for his agents in the northeast while specializing in construction nationally including complex insureds as well as outdoors and coastal risks.

As a former university coach and graduate assistant, Ian is a natural leader and educator and doesn’t shy away from difficult insureds.  He joined the insurance industry as part of a marine underwriting team for Acadia Insurance and continued to advance at other Berkley Company divisions in increasing roles of underwriting responsibility, agent relationships, and carrier oversight. He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maine at Fort Kent.

Jeff is a well-respected, 30-year veteran of the insurance industry. He provides timely, relevant, and competitive solutions in the rapidly evolving coverages for cannabis, CBD and Vape Shop insureds as the leader of this growing program. Prior to focusing his talents in this emerging industry, he brokered general and excess liability, product liability, product recall insurance and environmental liability insurance.

Previously, Jeff held senior sales executive and underwriting positions at wholesale and retail brokerages in the Chicago area including Kelly and Elliott, Ltd., Splinter Insurance Group and American Insurance Agency. He is a graduate of Northeastern Illinois University in Business Administration and Marketing.

With more than twenty years of experience in the industry, Kevin oversees the expansion of the transportation business as part of an overall growth strategy for Breckenridge and the rapidly expanding Accretive group of companies. His unwavering commitment to his agents, team members and carrier partners is widely respected among his peers as he excels in strategic thinking, sound underwriting, market-driven solutions and problem-solving capabilities.

Before Breckenridge, Kevin served in various insurance leadership, program development, and sales management roles, primarily in the transportation industry. Most recently, he helped launch a national benefit program for CDL drivers and led product development for a leading motor carrier business services firm. Prior to this, he established and then led the transportation vertical of AssuredPartners.

Kevin started his insurance career as a loss control specialist for a major car rental company. He then moved into sales and varied risk management roles from claims to procurement to operations leadership. This well-rounded background gives him the skills necessary to drive growth for Breckenridge, its transportation team, and the transportation industry. He is licensed in 48 states for P&C, life, health, and annuities. Kevin is an accomplished triathlete and was a USA Triathlon Level 1 certified coach for 11 years. 

Laura has more than a decade of insurance industry experience and currently underwrites program policies for Contractors Elite Package Program and Contractors’ Elite Workers’ Compensation Program as well as the BreckComp Program. Laura’s expertise allows her to seamlessly manage the entire underwriting process on an account to streamline things for her agents and brokers.

Laura joined Breckenridge in 2011 with over 30 years of valuable customer service experience having worked in customer service industries as a retail manager, an assistant for a title/escrow company, and a real estate office. During this time, she also worked at Summit Insurance where she was drawn to the industry. Upon joining Breckenridge, she worked in policy issuance and claims processing and quickly proved herself a valuable team player.  Laura then earned her CRIS designation in 2019 and a producer license in 2021 and subsequent promotions for her success. She has an associate degree in Sociology from Pasadena City College.

Lisa has more than thirty years of insurance industry experience and helped develop what is our well-regarded contractors’ programs for roofers, fire sprinkler, artisans, electrical, concrete contractors and more. She is knowledgeable on all aspects of contractor business coverage needs such as property, inland marine, general liability, auto, workers’ compensation and combined package solutions.

Lisa returned to the company in 2019 after serving as Senior Vice President, Partner of delegated authorities for Denali Specialty Group and a Senior Specialty Underwriter for Tokio Marine Specialty Insurance company. She had been with Breckenridge for just over eight years prior, having launched its contractors’ programs. Before that, Lisa served as a program manager at Summit Insurance Services. She started her career as a Lead Rater/Coder for First Insurance Company of Hawaii.

With over 14 years of industry experience, Matt is a problem-solving broker who can handle tough risks, particularly for property. He’s committed to exceptional service to his agent partners and has built a trusted reputation, which gives him significant access to a range of carriers, allowing him to find cost-effective options for each insured’s unique situation.

Prior to Breckenridge, Matt was a broker/underwriter at Regional Excess Underwriters and an underwriter at CRC Insurance Services, Inc. focused on commercial insurance accounts. In 2002 Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Business and Commerce from Southwestern University.

Mark has more than 25 years of underwriting expertise and continues to significantly expand the property and contract binding business with a focus on real estate investor portfolios. Having joined Breckenridge Insurance in 2016, Mark leads the growing St. Louis team which serves diverse agent property and casualty needs. During his tenure, Mark has expanded relationships with several top-rated carrier partners and enhanced capacity and coverage for the organization in key areas.

Michael has over 35 years of experience in the E&S Industry with much of this spent underwriting primary and excess property. As the head of the Specialty Property programs, he leads a growing team of capable underwriters and support staff focused on real estate investor portfolios, vacant properties, and diverse commercial and coastal properties, including wind deductible buy back solutions.

Michael started his career at Royal Globe in Philadelphia, PA.  In 1993, went to work with Markel Insurance Company and worked there for 15 years both on the east and west coasts as an Associate Vice President. He joined WFK&C, an MGA, in 2008 as Vice President/Southern Territory and in 2013 joined Blue River Underwriters, now Breckenridge Insurance. Michael is a graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s College in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

Pamela is an accomplished Commercial National Broker specializing in national program development. She has handled broker submissions, while finding strategic markets to best cover the risk, as well as identifying alliance partnerships to target growth in specific demographic or risk class. She has also developed marketing approach to highlight program specific coverages and benefits.

In her career, she has successfully built long-term relationships while being a versatile leader in commercial insurance industries as commercial real estate markets. She is currently a township commissioner, author, and RAYAC member.

Peter has more than 15 years of experience in the industry as both a retail agent and company underwriter, and has worked across several disciplines, including broker/account manager, claims processing and technical underwriting.

Peter spent nearly half of his career focused exclusively on property underwriting while at Diamond State Group Property Brokerage, part of Global Indemnity Group. He was last an underwriter III for property in the Midwest territory before joining the newly formed GBLI national cannabis industry specialty team. Early in his career he played an integral role in a newly launched independent insurance agency focused on apartments and low income housing programs in the greater Philadelphia region.

As part of the growing specialty property program team, Friend is focused on facilitating competitive coverage solutions for diverse property risks including vacant, residential real estate investor portfolios,  and commercial properties nationally by way of access to top-rated carrier partners. The scope of coverage also includes general liability, wind deductible buy backs, and TRIA.

Sheree has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience with significant operations, underwriting, and management skills. She leads the Breckenridge General Agency (BreckGen) non-standard auto insurance program launched in Texas in 2021.

Previously, Sheree was Vice President of underwriting and operations for Apollo Managing General Agency having established the many varied processes and systems to support their growth. Prior to Apollo, she held a similar position with Newport General Agency which was acquired by AmWINS. Sheree’s additional underwriting leadership roles were at Harbor Insurance Managers and North American Managing General Agency. She also worked for Tri-Star Insurance Agency and American Hallmark Insurance Company early in her career.

With 35 years of insurance industry experience, Sherri is an expert in handling all kinds of small- to medium-sized property and casualty risks and commercial lines. Sherri strives to stay up to date with new products offered in the industry to keep her clients informed of their options. She works and collaborates closely with her agents and established network of underwriters to bring new and creative solutions to the table.

Before joining Breckenridge Insurance, Sherri was a broker, underwriter with Regional Excess Underwriters, LLC. She attended the University of Central Oklahoma with a major in accounting. Sherri is actively involved in building her network and helping others. She is a former board member and regularly serves on committees of the National African American Insurance Association of Dallas-Ft. Worth.

Stephanie has over 20 years of industry experience and leads the highly respected Outdoors / Recreational program for Breckenridge Insurance. Under her leadership, the program continues to expand coverages and reach nationally. With an unwavering commitment to underwriting integrity, consistent program growth, internal team development, and the clear commitment she has to her agents and brokers, Stephanie earned a well-deserved promotion in early 2021.

Having a passion for the outdoors and significant risk management background, Stephanie readily mastered the many unique risk considerations for these businesses. Prior to Breckenridge, Stephanie was an agent in this space for nearly 12 years and before that, was a Commercial Lines Account Executive for HRH and an Underwriter for Gillingham & Associates.  In 2019, she earned the coveted Certified Program Leader/CPL from Target Markets Program Administrators Association

In addition to her work, Stephanie is the troop leader for her daughter’s local Girl Scout Troop and an adult leader and very active in her son’s Boy Scout Troop.  She is additionally President of two local Parent Teacher Associations (“PTAs”), one for each of her children’s schools. Stephanie has her Bachelor of Applied Science in Biochemistry from the Metropolitan State University of Denver and studied prior at the University of Colorado Denver.

Teri oversees a high-growth book of business of her own and additionally manages several brokers and support team members across the southeast region since her promotion in mid-2020. She is a well-rounded property expert able to assist with accounts ranging from habitational to heavy industrial exposures. Having built strong carrier relationships throughout her 25-plus year career, Teri has a diverse and reliable network to help quickly and competitively address last-minute deadlines for her agents.

Previously, Teri served as a Vice President, Broker with Breckenridge and prior to that, was a Branch Manager for Regional Excess Underwriters. In each subsequent role, her hard work, dedication, and proven track record of growth resulted in the profitability of the respective organization and a dedicated agent following.

Thomas joined Breckenridge in early 2021 and has more than 20 years of energy insurance expertise to provide agents with informed and competitive options in this space. He also is well versed in all lines of coverage for transportation, manufacturing, construction, habitational and retail/specialty. Thomas is based in San Antonio and has rapidly been building a team and presence in central and south Texas.

Thomas spent most of his career at Quirk & Company, a managing general agency, where he led significant growth of business and carrier partner relationships during his tenure. As senior vice president, he oversaw underwriting for all in-house facilities domestically and internationally.

Tom has more than 20 years of specialized residential and commercial property investor, real estate owned (REO) and lender-placed risk management expertise. He understands the complexities surrounding property transactions and compliance issues and draws from his lending experience to achieve productive results for his agents.

Prior to Breckenridge in 2017, Tom successfully led the REO/lender-placed Insurance program at All Risks Ltd. as program manager for eight years. His background also includes having built three successful companies with multiple branches serving the traditional and reverse mortgage markets from loan origination to strategic development of new products and services. He began in the industry as a mortgage broker and quickly rose to manager and has earned several career accolades for top sales and team leadership throughout his career.

Tracey provides agents with diverse coverage solutions with deep expertise on large coastal property portfolios, hard-to-place general liability, marinas, garages, and inland marine risks. With more than 16 years of insurance experience and having held additional corporate roles, she is well equipped to seek competitive, business-savvy solutions for her agents.

Prior to Breckenridge, Tracey worked as a commercial underwriter at XS Brokers and All Risks, Ltd. in the Tampa, Florida area. She started her career as an all commercial lines account manager and agent for Cambridge Property and Casualty. Tracey has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Cleary University and an Associate Degree in Science in Mathematics from Schoolcraft College and holds the AAI designation.

Vicky is a talented workers’ compensation underwriter with more than 15 years of industry experience. Over the last decade, she has held key roles on Breckenridge programs serving the construction and auto dealer industries and brings the same disciplined underwriting expertise and deep carrier partnerships to all industries today as a broker. One area of specialty she has is agriculture with its own unique set of employee safety challenges.  

With a focus on smart, competitive risk management strategies, Vicky has loyal agents following while welcoming new of agents nationally. She recently co-hosted an educational workers’ compensation webinar for agents to provide helpful insights on preparing for the hardening market.

Vicky has earned several company awards for business development during her tenure. Prior to Breckenridge, Vicky was an Underwriting Assistant at Western Pinnacle and before that, she was an Assistant at Commodore Insurance. She has a degree in Business Administration and Management from Fresno City College.

Victoria Dearing has a vast amount of knowledge on insurance having authored several textbook chapters on the business and E&O risks. With nearly 40 years of industry experience, she truly enjoys collaborating with others to solve their professional liability and other commercial insurance needs. She is driven to bring forth competitive solutions while sharing how best to protect the insureds’ interests among options available. This includes having launched exclusive programs at Breckenridge for Cryotherapy & Sports Rehab Centers as well as Oil & Gas Consultants.

As an agent early in her career, she then transitioned to a program manager for more than a decade handling everything from Rent-a-Captive to Professional. Vicky then oversaw the creation and development of a professional liability team handling all risks. As a full-fledged wholesale broker and program manager today, she drives results across a range of products and programs. She is responsible for professional carrier relationships and enjoys passing her knowledge along to the new brokers. She also handles the internal risk management for all of Breckenridge Group. Additionally, she spent several years as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at Dallas teaching Enterprise Risk Management. She also regularly teaches continuing education on professional liability subject matters for local, state and national insurance organizations and agencies alike.

Vicky is recognized as one of the 2018 Insurance Business America Elite Women, has been featured previously as an Insurance Business America Top Specialist Wholesale Broker in professional liability, has authored several articles, presented at many trade industry associations, and has earned a key client partner honor as well as Breckenridge company awards.

Walter is a highly knowledgeable property and primary/excess casualty broker, equally adept at working the domestic and international marketplaces. Walter has over 30 years in the E&S industry and has significant experience successfully brokering an increasingly large and complex book of product liability, manufacturing, habitational schedules and umbrella accounts with the help of an expert support team. He also oversees and mentors other brokers in the St. Louis office which has had notable growth in the last couple of years.

Agents appreciate Walter’s sense of urgency in solving their insureds’ needs using an analytic approach coupled with tremendous market access. Previously, he led Continental American Agency, Inc., a family-owned regional brokerage where he worked closely with Lloyd’s of London. Walter has his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Saint Louis University.
