Background & Experience
Shawn is a recognized leader in the workers’ compensation brokerage field having earned several industry awards and he is regularly featured in trade publications. Shawn’s expertise includes guaranteed cost and excess/large deductible, USL&H risks, as well as the idiosyncrasies utilized by underwriters in the workers’ compensation arena. Clients seek his help to solve tough workers’ comp challenges on tight timelines as they know he is reliable and results-oriented.
In 2018, Shawn was recognized as a Top Specialist Wholesale Broker in Workers’ Comp by Insurance Business America (IBA) for ‘consistently going above and beyond for agents and insureds. That same year, he earned a Business Insurance Break Out award exemplifying ‘the next generation of insurance industry leaders and then led the Breckenridge workers’ compensation team in earning the Brokerage Team of the Year at the U.S. Insurance Awards in acknowledgment of being the top wholesale insurance team, for any/all lines of business, in the country.
Over the last decade, Shawn has consistently demonstrated his commitment to Breckenridge agents, carrier partners, and internal brokers to further their understanding of workers’ compensation. He has co-hosted an educational webinar, helped identify opportunities for specialized commercial insurance products, solidified key carrier relationships for the company, and earned several company honors along the way. Shawn has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, English, and Psychology from Case Western Reserve.
